About

PQ Solutions LLC (PQS) was founded in 2018 when PEQ LLC (PEQ) spun off the U.S. tax advisory services. While now distinct entities, PEQ and PQS maintain shared values and a common history. Key milestones for both companies include:

• 2003: PEQ LLC is founded in Zunzgen (BL), Switzerland as an advisory and audit solutions provider focused on providing internal audit services to banks.

• 2005: PEQ begins advising Swiss banks on U.S. tax topics, specifically the Qualified Intermediary regime.

• 2007: PEQ establishes its Zurich branch.

• 2013: The advent of the FATCA and CRS regulations, along with the then-prominent DOJ Swiss Bank Program, prompts PEQ's substantial expansion in the realm of U.S. and international tax-focused advisory services.

• 2018: PEQ spins off the tax advisory services into a separate legal entity: PEQ Solutions LLC.

• 2023: PEQ Solutions rebrands to the new name PQ Solutions LLC and the shorthand PQS. The similarities to the original name are obvious and on purpose: We wanted to demonstrate where we come from and that we still have the same values and principles that were built up in the 20 years of company existence up until that point.

• 2025: PQS establishes PQ Technologies AG (PQT) – a subsidiary specializing in tech solutions that focuses on using a Human-in-the-Loop approach to develop AI-supported tools for compliance-, risk-, and data-management in the financial industry based on PQS's many years of expertise, thereby strengthening the technological backbone of PQS services.

Today: Since its inception, PQS has grown substantially in scope, size, and global reach. It now covers diverse topics like international operational tax, SEC/CFTC matters, AML/KYC compliance, while serving many clients that are not only banks but also other FIs such as trustees, family offices, and asset managers - worldwide.
