PQ Solutions AG (PQS) was founded in 2018 when PEQ GmbH (PEQ) spun off the operational tax services into a separate company. Since its inception, PQS has grown significantly in terms of scope, size, and global reach and now offers services in international operational tax areas as well as other topics such as SEC/CFTC matters, cross-border reporting and AML/KYC compliance, serving many clients worldwide, including not only banks but also other financial institutions such as trustees, family offices, and asset managers.

Since the founding of its subsidiary PQ Technologies AG, which specializes in the development of AI-based solutions for compliance, risk, and data management in the financial industry, PQS has also been working closely with the PQT team to further develop the technological backbone of PQS services.

History

Our Shared Journey

Since its split from PEQ GmbH (PEQ) in 2018, PQS has grown significantly in terms of scope, size, and global reach. Key milestones include:

  1. 2003

    PEQ LLC is founded in Zunzgen (BL), Switzerland as an advisory and audit solutions provider focused on providing internal audit services to banks.

  2. 2005

    PEQ begins advising Swiss banks on U.S. tax topics, specifically the Qualified Intermediary regime.

  3. 2007

    PEQ establishes its Zurich branch.

  4. 2013

    The advent of FATCA and CRS regulations, along with the then-prominent DOJ Swiss Bank Program, prompts PEQ to substantially expand U.S. and international tax-focused advisory services.

  5. 2018

    PEQ spins off the tax advisory services into a separate legal entity: PEQ Solutions LLC.

  6. 2023

    PEQ Solutions rebrands to PQ Solutions LLC (PQS), preserving the intentional link to its origins and longstanding values.

  7. 2025

    PQS establishes PQ Technologies AG (PQT), a subsidiary specializing in Human-in-the-Loop AI-supported tech solutions for compliance, risk, and data management in the financial industry.

  8. 2026

    PQ Solutions LLC changes its legal form and is now named PQ Solutions AG (or PQ Solutions Ltd.).
